The healthcare domain is constantly evolving with innovations and discoveries to better treatment processes. However, they seldom reach the interior regions, where even basic healthcare facilities are lacking. While primary health centres (PHCs) are available locally for villagers, the higher treatments must be availed at hospitals located over 50 kms away. Improper and untimely diagnosis of medical conditions leads to loss of lives. Poor nutrition and social stigmas are other factors contributing to poor healthcare in rural India.
